Kansalakan River is the newly discovered wonder in Guihulngan City which is located at the
boundaries of Barangay Balogo and Barangay Banuage, 23km away from the heart of the city.
You can travel to Kansalakan River for around 40-45 minutes. You can have options in getting there, it’s either you will ride a habal-habal worth of 100 pesos per head or much better if you have your personal motor vehicle since you have all your time to explore and stop over to some other beautiful spots you wanted to visit.

It was only an ordinary river to local residents before it was discovered until one tourist found the natural beauty of the place and soon it is developed by the Department of Tourism together with the Local Government Unit.
The deepest part of the river is 30 feet deep and you will be amazed by its dark blue-green color of the water along with the water falls making it so inviting to swim. It has its natural shape and design which compliments the beauty of nature, perfected by a small valley where you can enjoy the view while taking photos and selfies.
Kansalakan River resembles the Hinatuan River of Surigao del Sur wherein both possesses almost same enchanting stories told by the local folks. It has been said that some people mysteriously lost their lives on the said river and it was known that the spirits and the souls became the guard and protector of the place. But others believed that it is the depth of the water that makes the river mysterious for the tourists aside from the different kinds of fish living underwater .
This realization profoundly opens the curiousity of the tourists especially the nature lovers to visit the mystic river and be charmed by the gift of mother nature.
Special thanks to Ms.Erley Bondaon :)
